Course offerings will be offered for Summer and Fall terms. Dates will vary.
All courses from the Military History Series are stand-alone; if three courses within the Military History Series are completed with a grade of “P” (Pass), you will receive an official Military History Certificate, from Norwich Pro.
Cold War: A Brief History
This course focuses primarily on a Brief History of Cold War 1.0 (NATO / USA vs. Warsaw Pact / USSR) and will introduce students to the tools developed to understand a historic event through the lens of the time that an event occurred: Thinking in Time Analysis vs. Revisionism and Re-evaluation of “Ways of War” modeling.
Cold War: Current Analysis
This course focuses primarily on the Current Analysis of Peer and Near Peer Protagonists to include Russia’s Little Green Men and “Composite” Generational Warfare. The Baltic, Crimea, and Ukraine provide fertile ground for understanding generational warfare as it is thought of today.
Exorcising Hitler's Ghost: The Holocaust, Denial, & the Importance of History
The Holocaust remains one of the darkest chapters in human history and the development of the 20th century. For historians, it has also become a target of lies, invention, and distortion from a variety of malicious sources who have challenged its very existence. In Exorcising Hitler’s Ghost, we review the development of the Holocaust and how the rise of Holocaust Denial.
