Teaching & Learning I
This course introduces foundational principles of effective teaching and learning. Students explore learning science, inclusive teaching practices, assessment, lesson design, classroom environment, and professional identity. The course culminates in a comprehensive Learning Experience Plan and Digital Teaching Portfolio.
Teaching & Learning II
ED571 provides students the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills and takes a broader focus that includes designing a course and developing a course syllabus on a topic of their choice.
Teaching & Learning III
This course guides teacher candidates through the Vermont Peer Review licensure pathway. Students learn how to gather evidence, align artifacts to standards, document teaching practice, and assemble a complete licensure portfolio. The course culminates in submission of a Peer Review–ready digital portfolio and professional readiness plan.
