Applied Psychology in Project Management

Join us for an exploration of these patterns and how they can be used to motivate employees, resolve conflicts, guide groups through change, and communicate more effectively—skills that are especially important for project managers who frequently are not in positions of power. Other topics include values-driven leadership, adapting messages for different personalities, and emotional intelligence.
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Kristen Pedersen, PhD, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communication (1997) and a Master of Arts in Communication (2000), both from the University of South Alabama, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Communication (2008) from Bournemouth University in Poole, England. In addition to being the Director of Continuing and Professional Education for Norwich, she teaches university online coursework in communication, leadership, and public relations. A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Pedersen has a deep personal connection to the military and an affinity for designing degree programs and courses specifically for cadets, active duty and veteran students.
