While each course in this program touches on building a culture of compliance in your organization, this course digs deeper into the subject. We discuss why fostering that culture at a high level is so important and what practical steps Chief Compliance Officers and Compliance Committees can take to encourage and maintain ethical, compliant behavior.

Organizational Culture and Continuous Compliance Improvement

After starting with a discussion of what we mean by a “culture of compliance,” we’ll go on to reflect on the role of strong leadership. Specifically, we focus on the importance of relationship building and leading by example. You’ll also learn about the importance of who sits on your Compliance Committee, as well as the duties of each member.

 

Topics Include:

  • Factors that make people most likely to comply with regulations
  • What causes compliance programs to fail?
  • Actions that motivate and demotivate people

 

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Larry Potts, MS, is a renowned corporate compliance and security expert. Most recently Larry was Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Corporate Security for Scientific Games Corporation where he developed and implemented processes for conducting business in 50 countries and oversaw 4000 due diligence investigations annually. Prior to his extensive corporate experience, Larry worked for the FBI for 24 years as Chief of the Public Corruption Unit, Chief of White-Collar Crimes, AD in Charge of Criminal Investigative Division, and Deputy Director.
